Keelnacally Quilletto Robuck cleans up at Chepstow International

We took five horses to Wales to compete at Chepstow International with Atiya.

Keelnacally Quilletto Robuck dominated the pony classes with a 3rd, two 2nds and a win – including 2nd in the 148 Grand Prix… It was a lovely note to finish our time together with!

Florida VDL also impressed jumping the CSI** Big Tour (1m40) classes with small mistakes keeping the pair out of the results.

6yos Dandy Ste Hermelle, owned by Ross Walker, and Calisto de Laubry Z, owned by Sue Crawford, stepped up to jump the age classes and flew around the 1m30 Grand Prix, their biggest track to date, with ease!

It was also Chesterfield Z’s first show back after a small holiday and he impressed as always with a clear in every class jumped!

Youth Nations Cup Show – Sentower Park

India was delighted to have been selected to go to the First Nations Cup show of the season with, our own and The Billy Stud’s, Billy Colman of whom she has produced from a 5-year-old. India was competing at the show as an individual with Team GB’s Youth Squad, putting in some solid performances on a young horse including placing 4th on the last day around the Nations Cup track individually, which was the perfect end to a good week.

Puissance Winners – 2m15!

On Friday night at the Arena UK Major Showjumping Championships, India & home produced 8-year-old Florida VDL jumped all 5 rounds clear in the Puissance finished up clearing 2m15 and sharing the spoils alongside Murray Mcleish & Chelsea Skelton.

This was the 8-year-olds first ever Puissance and he loved it! Excited now to have been asked to go to HOYS to jump the famous red wall on Saturday evening!

Youth Nations Cup Finals, Sentower Park

We were delighted to find out that Atiya & Chesterfield Z were set to represent Great Britain on the Children On Horses Nations Cup team for the 4th time this year, this time at Sentower Park in Belgium for the big Nations Cup Finals for Youth.

The pair jumped a super clear on day one, helping Team GB to qualify for the prestigious final on Sunday. Friday was the individual competition where they once again jumped double clear & finished in 7th place – a fantastic result. They finished the week with another class round around a technical 1m30 track, unfortunately just touching the last fence for 4 faults. Never-the-less they provided the best score across the board for Team GB helping the team to achieve 5th place in the Finals.

That marks the end of Atiya & Chester’s Children On Horses campaign, but what a year it has been!

Hickstead All England Jumping Championships

The girls had a fantastic show at Hickstead with all horses jumping in the famous main ring.

Atiya (only 13) & Chesterfield Z jumped fantastic placing everyday and then jumping a very fast double clear in the 1m20 Championship in the main arena for a close 2nd place!

India & Florida VDL jumped in the 1m40s in the main ring, and Billy Coleman qualified for the 7 Year Old Championship where he was unlucky to just have one fence down round a strong 1m35 A10 track, he was also clear in the Talent Seekers 7 Year Old HOYS qualifier.

Billy Coleman 2nd to Bertram Allen in Lier

The girls had a fantastic show in Lier, Azelhof, Belgium for their CSI**/*/YH* show in August.

India and Billy Coleman performed very well in the 7 Year Old classes including a 2nd place finish only beaten by 5* rider Bertram Allen. India also had a fantastic show on 8 year old Florida VDL who was clear 2 out of the 3 days in the 1m40 classes and stepped up very well in their 2nd World Rankings class for one mistake. Atiya also had a good yet slightly unlucky show with Chesterfield Z in the CSI* 1m20 classes.

European Championships 2018

Atiya & Chesterfield Z representing Team GB at the European Championships for Children, Juniors and Young Riders held at Le Grand Parquet, Fontainebleau, France. Part of the Children On Horses team jumping double clear in the Nations Cup and placing 6th in the Farewell competition also!

Wierden Nations Cup Show

It is fair to say the girls had a fantastic show in Wierden for their Youth Nations Cup Show 2018. Atiya was 7th in the Children On Horses class on the first day with Chesterfield Z. She was then once again representing Great Britain on the Children On Horses team where she jumped double clear for Team GB in the Nations Cup and jumped double clear to come 4th in the Grand Prix!! She and Chester didn’t touch a fence all week; a clean sheet!

India also had a successful show with her talented 7 year old Billy Colman who jumped fantastically every day in the Juniors 1m35 classes picking up 7th place along the way!

Lamprechtshausen Nations Cup Show

We were delighted when Atiya was selected to represent Great Britain for the first time after a fabulous performance at the European Viewing Trials at Chepstow CSI**.

Atiya jumped two fantastic rounds in the Children On Horses Nations Cup aboard Chesterfield Z to help Team GB secure 2nd place convincingly. Atiya also won the opening Children On Horses class in fine style riding Westwinds Ego.

India also competed in Lamprechtshausen having had the call up to ride individually on her relatively inexperienced 7 year old Goldenboy. The week was a fantastic experience for both of India’s 7 year old horses (Goldenboy & Billy Colman) of whom she has produced herself here at Wodehouse Stud, and she picked up some very good placings in the Juniors (U18) classes.

Bonheiden Spring Tour CSI** 2018

We had a great show at Bonheiden Spring Tour with India attending as part of the Step Up To Gold cohort in the CSI** & Atiya also competing in the CSI* with her two horses.

Atiya – still only 13 – kicked off her international career abroad with a victory in her first class with Westwinds Ego! She went on to collect numerous top 10 placings with both horses over the course of the week.

India and Billy Comme Ca were double clear and placed in the opening days 1m30 CSI** competition and then stepped up and jumped some great rounds in the 1m40s. India and Billy Colman also picked up placings in the 7 Year Olds competitions.
